‘No radical Milan changes’

Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic says there will be 'no radical changes' to deal with Giacomo Bonaventura's absence, while discussing Alessio Cerci.

The 26-year-old picked up a yellow card against Lazio and will be suspended for tomorrow evening's game against Atalanta.

“I'm sorry about [Giacomo] Bonaventura because he was being decisive and one of our best,” said Mihajlovic in today's Press conference. “It's a shame he won't be able to play against his former team.

“But I have faith in everyone and I'm not worried about my second lines. We know it won't be easy to win tomorrow and that we can't afford to underestimate the game, rather we must always play with the right attitude.

“As for Alessio Cerci, he's playing well and he gets better with every game. The problem for him is finding continuity over the week, that's always been his trouble.

“That's what he has to improve in. Everything else comes by itself. He's one of the few players in Italy capable of dribbling a defender. He couldn't have forgotten how to play football.”

The Coach then went on to discuss the Scudetto campaign and Milan's performances in general.

“I've often lost a Scudetto while starting with a points advantage. Nobody is thinking about the Scudetto, but we'll see what happens in the last month.

“I think we're short of a few points that we deserved to win on the pitch, compared to others who have ben luckier than us.

“This year there isn't a single team to kill the league, it's better and more balanced compared to the other years, and it's better fun for everyone.

“Bonaventura's replacement? We'll try changing the team the least possible, positioning the players so they can give their best. I don't think there will be any radical changes.”
