The Slovakian was being paired with the French giants after the attacking midfielder praised the club’s project and ambition.

However, speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Azzurri President Aurelio De Laurentiis has underlined that the player is going nowhere.

“Hamsik is an educated and polite person,” he stated. “When he was 20 he seemed as if he was 30, he has a splendid family and has married our cause by signing a contract with us until 2016.

“Paris SG have a lot of money, they have a Coach [Carlo Ancelotti] of value, but they still have to prove that they can win.

“I don’t want to create a diplomatic incident here, but Neapolitans are much more fun. In Paris, people are busy with their own egos.”

Hamsik, targeted by Milan last summer, was previously tied to the Azzurri until June 2015. He joined the club from Brescia in 2007.
