Nice: ‘Club record for Dalbert’

Nice have confirmed that Dalbert’s move to Inter represents “a club record transfer”.

The Brazilian finally completed his move to the Nerazzurri this afternoon, following a long saga which has been rumbling on for the past two months.

It’s not known what the details of the transfer are, though Nice-Matin reports that Inter paid €25m plus bonuses, with Les Aiglons previously having demanded the €30m release clause be paid.

“OGC Nice and Inter have reached an agreement to transfer Dalbert Henrique to Milan,” the French club said on their website.

“The negotiations, which began last June on a basis a long way short of the release clause signed with the Brazilian last summer, concluded this week with an offer in line with OGC Nice’s valuation.

“With the sine-qua-non condition to envision his departure having finally been respected, the club made the decision to accede the request of the left-back to join the Milanese team, and authorised him to take a medical prior to signing.

“Thanks to this club record transfer, OGC Nice continues its developmental policy of not resorting to exceptional funding from its shareholders for the summer transfer campaign, which has seen seven signings [Balotelli, Lees-Melou, Makengo, Tameze, Jallet, Sneijder, St-Maximim].

“It was the same last year, with the transfer of Nampalys Mendy to Leicester City.

“Proud to have allowed him to reach the highest level, le Gym wishes him [Dalbert] the success to which he aspires in his new colours.”
