There are reports in England that Newcastle United will attempt a January swoop for Inter hitman Edin Dzeko.
The 35-year-old Bosnia international is unlikely to leave the Nerazzurri mid-season, having only just joined as a free agent from Roma over the summer.
His goals have helped take Simone Inzaghi’s side to the top of the Serie A table and they will face Liverpool in the Champions League Round of 16.
According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle United are prepared to spend big in order to bring Dzeko back to the Premier League, a trophy he won with Manchester City.
However, Inter aren’t going to consider letting the veteran go, as he has scored 11 goals and provided four assists in 23 appearances this season between Serie A and the Champions League.
Newcastle were taken over by Saudi Arabian investment fund PIF, but have only one Premier League victory so far this term and are in penultimate place.
