Napoli’s summer revolution: Insigne and Mertens out, Chelsea striker to replace Osimhen?

Napoli’s attack will drastically change next season and the Partenopei could complete their revolution if Victor Osimhen joins Arsenal or Manchester United.

The Partenopei will part ways with Lorenzo Insigne and Dries Mertens, having failed to reach an agreement to extend their stay at the club. Matteo Politano is unhappy and has reportedly offered his services to Milan, while the club is willing to listen to offers for Andrea Petagna.

Last but not least, Victor Osimhen has refused to commit his future to the club, saying that he doesn’t know what will happen during the summer transfer window.

Arsenal have been following the Nigeria international closely and according to Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper, the Gunners are ready to place an offer for the striker, who is valued at €100m by his club. Manchester United are also monitoring the former Lille man.

Meantime, Napoli have already secured the services of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to replace Insigne and are in talks with Gerard Deulofeu, who should take Mertens’ spot.

They will need one more centre-forward if Osimhen joins Arsenal or Manchester United and according to Gazzetta, the likes of Gianluca Scamacca and Chelsea’s Armando Broja are among their main targets to potentially replace the Nigeria international.
