Napoli conclude meeting with prospective new coach Tudor – report

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis and other club leaders have recently concluded a meeting with prospective new coach Igor Tudor according to reports, as the announcement of current boss Rudi Garcia’s dismissal edges closer.

According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, Tudor has presented his ideas and philosophy to the Napoli decision-makers, explaining his views on football and the Partenopei set-up.

It is believed that Tudor will have made certain requests, likely over his potential pay-packet.

Tudor is the leading candidate to take over from Garcia, who has only managed to take last season’s Serie A winners to fourth place in the league after 12 matches.

The team have also picked up disappointing results against Union Berlin and Empoli in the Champions League and Serie A across the last week.

Recent reports suggest that Napoli made a final approach to former Juventus and Italy coach Antonio Conte, but he has reportedly decided to continue his sabbatical to spend more time with his family.

Instead, Tudor is currently expected to be appointed as the new coach of Napoli following the official departure of Garcia.
