Nainggolan: Don’t feel hunted

Radja Nainggolan insists he does not feel ‘hunted’ by Inter as he rejected ‘so many offers’ to ‘lift’ Cagliari in their centenary season.

Nainggolan is on his way back to Cagliari, returning to Sardinia on a season-long loan, and the midfielder is ready to prove Inter were wrong to let him go.

“I’m happy, of course,” he told Sky Sport Italia, which caught up with him at Milan Malpensa airport.

“I tried to do my talking on the pitch. Now [Inter] must know the mistake they made.

“I don’t feel hunted. I’m peaceful and calm. I’m going back to Sardinia to do well.

“I made a decision with my heart, I had so many offers: now I want to lift the team in my centenary year.”

FC Inter 1908 reporters then asked the 31-year-old if he still had a future with the Nerazzurri.

“I’ll still have two years left on my contract after this season. Maybe my experience with Inter isn’t over yet.”
