Muscle problem for Skov Olsen

Bologna risk having to cope without Andreas Skov Olsen for the first four to five games after the resumption, as the Dane struggles with a muscle injury.

The 20-year-old winger, who arrived form Nordsjaelland last summer, will undergo an MRI scan today and the extent of the problem will be clear in the next few days.

Il Corriere di Bologna reports that the youngster risks losing the first month of action after having appeared 19 times in Serie A this term.

The Denmark Under-21 international had clenched his teeth and tried to play through his initial problems but the club confirmed the tests.

“The condition of Andreas Skov Olsen will be evaluated in the coming days after a problem in the right thigh,” the club said in a statement.

Bologna resume against Juventus on Monday June 22 and Skov Olsen seems set to miss at least that game but could in the worst-case scenario be out until Parma on July 12.
