Mourinho tipped to begin contract talks with Roma in near future – report

According to recent reports, Jose Mourinho is ready to begin discussions over a contract extension with Roma and will supposedly put those intentions on record in the near future.

Roma-focused radio network Teleradiostereo revealed on Friday morning that The Special One is set to publicly declare his intention to renew his contract in an interview with Rai, set to be broadcast next week.

Mourinho is out of contract at the end of the 2023-24 season and could theoretically walk away from the Stadio Olimpico in June, however, recent reports suggest that he is inclined to stay on in the capital.

As per Calciomercato, there have not yet been any official negotiations between Mourinho’s representatives and those from Roma, but talks could kick off at the beginning of 2024.

Mourinho has received plenty of interest from the Middle East in recent months, particularly from clubs in Saudi Arabia, but he reportedly turned down big-money offers in the summer and is still set on staying on with Roma according to Friday’s report.
