Morata: ‘Difficult to leave Real Madrid’

Alvaro Morata says ‘it’s always difficult to leave Real Madrid’ but that ‘Juventus makes me happy’.

The Spain international joined the Old Lady from the Merengues in 2014, but Real have the right to buy him back next summer should they wish.

Speculation continues to mount around his possible return to Spain, but Morata praised his ‘smart move’ to Turin.

“The separation from the Merengues wasn’t easy, but I needed it,” the 23-year-old said to Radio Onda Cero.

“I think it was a smart move.

“The return to Real? Who knows, it’s always difficult to leave the Merengues, especially for people from Madrid.

“For now I’m at a club that makes me happy, if you’re asking me about Real it’s because I’m playing well and scoring goals.

“I’m talking about a renewal with Juve, but there’s no hurry.

“The right to buy back? Real imposed some conditions in the contract, but it’s too early to think about it.”
