Monaco multi-billionaire wants Milan?

Multi-billionaire Monaco owner Dmitry Rybolovlev is reportedly studying a possible takeover of Milan.

French publication Foot Mercato cites a report in Tuttosport, which claims Rybolovlev is ‘looking at Milan’s economic situation very closely’.

The 46-year-old has owned the principality side since 2011, overseeing their rise from Ligue 2 to French champions ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Russian has received an offer to sell his stake in Monaco for ‘around €500m’.

He is the second magnate from the superpower to be linked with purchasing the Rossoneri after Arsenal shareholder Alisher Usmanov.

Milan have until October to repay a €303m loan to Elliott Management, although the hedge fund is expected to foot another €35-40m to ensure the club fulfil the season without any problems.
