Milan’s summer transfer budget and first two investments revealed

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan‘s transfer budget for the summer could be in the region of €100m and Lille’s Sven Botman and Renato Sanches are the first two signings the Rossoneri would make.

Stefano Pioli’s men are only focused on the pitch as the race for the Serie A title continues over the weekend with their home clash against Udinese.

Club directors and owners are already planning ahead, thinking about the 2022-23 campaign. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan’s budget for the summer transfer window could be in the region of €100m provided that they qualify for the Champions League.

The Rossoneri will be looking for at least one new player in every position and have already identified their priority targets in defence and in the middle of the park.

Lille’s Renato Sanches and Sven Botman are on top of their transfer list and Milan believe they’d need around €60m to sign them both. According to Calciomercato.com, Sanches has given priority to Milan and is eager to move to San Siro in July. He won’t extend his contract expiring in June 2023.

Botman has also been monitored by Newcastle United and admitted at the beginning of the month that he is ready to move on in the summer, joining a new club.
