Milan transfers: talks ongoing for Chelsea duo while waiting for Thuram

Reports in Italy claim Milan are in talks with Chelsea for Carney Chukwuemeka and Christian Pulisic and are increasingly confident of signing Marcus Thuram on a free transfer.

The Rossoneri have set their sights on several potential reinforcements and according to Wednesday’s printed edition of Tuttosport (page 19), two of them are Chelsea’s Chukwuemeka and Pulisic. Chukwuemeka, 19, is an option to strengthen the midfield and Milan want him on loan.

Turkey and Fenerbache starlet Arda Güler is also on the Rossoneri’s agenda, as reported by all three sports papers. The 18-year-old attaching midfielder has a €17m clause. AZ Alkmaar’s Tijjani Reijnders, scorer of eight goals in 54 games last season is another option for the Trequartista role and his price tag is circa €10m.

As for the attack, the Rossoneri are still waiting for Thuram’s decision on his new club. The France international has many offers on the table, but Milan and PSG are leading the race.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport (page 16) Milan are ‘increasingly confident of persuading Thuram’ who ‘looks closer’ to the Rossoneri.

Journalist Antonio Vitiello wrote that Milan had raised their offer to €5m per season and that PSG’s failed attempt to get Julian Nagelsmann, who wanted to work with Thuram in Paris, will help the Rossoneri.

Samuel Chukwueze is Milan’s priority for the right wing, but Villarreal’s asking price is €40m, according to Sky Sport Italia, so the Rossoneri are still keeping a close eye on Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson, who is available on a free transfer.
