Milan are apparently looking to pay Valencia only half of a previously agreed purchase fee for defender Adil Rami.

The France international joined the Rossoneri midseason on an initial six-month loan deal kicking in during January, and a purchase fee for the summer seen as set at €7m.

The centre-back has seemingly impressed enough during his time with the club to prompt reported talks between Milan and Valencia for a permanent deal, but the Diavolo are reportedly taking issue with the figure due to be paid.

The Gazzetta dello Sport are today reporting that the club are looking for a substantial reduction in the fee and are prepared to pay only half, amounting to €3.5m.

It is believed that they have instructed intermediary Ernesto Bronzetti to deliver such an offer to Los Che, even if the expectation is that the Mestalla outfit will turn it down.
