Milan set sights on Bergwijn with Tottenham open to selling

Milan have reportedly set their sights on Tottenham winger Steven Bergwijn who is not in Antonio Conte’s plans.

The 24-year-old joined Spurs in a €30m move from PSV in January 2020. He has only collected nine appearances under Antonio Conte since the Italian coach was appointed in November, starting only two matches.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are interested in the Netherlands international, although talks between the two clubs have not begun yet.

The Serie A giants are monitoring Bergwijn and could make their move in the summer transfer window.

Milan will be looking for attacking reinforcements at the end of the season, especially on the right wing where Junior Messias has become a regular starter over the last few weeks.

Stefano Pioli can also rely on Alexis Saelemaekers and Samu Castillejo, but the latter has been struggling with playing time this term, collecting just five Serie A appearances with the Diavoli. His contract at San Siro expires in June 2023.
