Milan on verge of signing Chelsea midfielder Loftus-Cheek – report

Calciomercato.com claims that Milan are close to completing a deal with Chelsea for Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The Rossoneri, under the market guidance of chief scout Geoffrey Moncada, are looking around for reinforcements to strengthen their midfield this summer, needing to fill the void that’ll be left behind once Sandro Tonali’s circa €80m move to Newcastle United is completed.

Milan have long been linked with a move for Loftus-Cheek and the Englishman is finally expected to leave Chelsea this summer, having just one year left on his contract in West London.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Milan and Chelsea are now defining the details of a deal for Loftus-Cheek, with the Italian side ready to pay around €15m in a definitive purchase.

The English midfielder stood out during Maurizio Sarri’s single season at the Blues, scoring 10 goals and providing five assists in 40 matches across all competitions in the 2018-19 campaign.

He’s struggled to replicate this form in the years since but may be able to prove himself with the move to Milan.
