Milan asked Tottenham for Tanganga and Sarr

Milan not only talked about Japhet Tanganga today with Tottenham Hotspur director Fabio Paratici, but also midfielder Pape Matar Sarr.

Paratici is currently in Milan and visited the Rossoneri headquarters this afternoon for a meeting with directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the subject of the conversation was not just defender Tanganga – who is wanted on loan with an option to buy – but also Sarr.

The midfielder turns 20 in September and already has eight senior caps for Senegal.

Spurs paid €16.9m to sign Sarr from FC Metz in the summer of 2021, leaving him with the French club on loan for last season.

It is reported that Milan asked to take Sarr on a dry loan, so without an option to buy at the end of the campaign.

He made 33 Ligue 1 appearances for FC Metz last term, contributing one goal and three assists.

Although Sarr was part of the Senegal squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations, he only made one appearance for 12 minutes in the semi-final.
