Milan ask for Napoli postponement

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has asked for Sunday’s evening game against Napoli to be postponed.

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has asked for Sunday’s evening game against Napoli to be postponed.

The official has written a letter to Serie A Lega chief Maurizio Beretta requesting the game – set to kick off at 20.45 local time – be re-arranged because of the poor weather which has already seen three midweek games called off.

“All the forecasts for the next few days, and the weekend in the particular, predict prohibitive weather conditions, those that we have not seen for 27 years,” he wrote.

“In Milan there will be snow and temperatures between -8 and -10.

“In these conditions, I strongly believe that playing the Milan-Napoli game is inopportune due to the extreme conditions.

“I thus ask you to postpone the game to a different date in which we will be able to play in climatically normal conditions.”
