Milan agree terms with Real Betis left back Miranda

Milan have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Juan Miranda and are now planning to pounce on the Real Betis left back in January.

The Rossoneri sent Fode Ballo-Toure to Fulham on transfer deadline day in the summer and failed to find a replacement, leaving them without reliable backup for star full back Theo Hernandez.

Stefano Pioli has found a few solutions to cope when Hernandez is absent, such as using Alessandro Florenzi on the left of the backline or switching to a three-man defense, but it’s clear that Milan need to bring in a reinforcement.

As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan have been in constant contact with Miranda and his entourage over the last month and have now reached an agreement in principle for a five-year contract.

The 23-year-old’s current deal expires with Real Betis at the end of this season, and he has no intention of penning a new contract, making his departure in the coming months a certainty.

Now Betis need to decide whether to let him leave on a free transfer next summer or sell him in January. Milan are willing to pay around €3m plus add-ons to secure Miranda in the winter.
