It's the start of another week and there is reportedly a new favourite for the Juventus job – Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri.

Current Bianconeri tactician Gigi Del Neri is expected to be shown the door at the end of the season after another problematic campaign for the Old Lady.

Numerous men have been linked with his job in recent weeks, with Luciano Spalletti of Zenit and Manchester City's Roberto Mancini said to have been at the front of the grid.

However, various sources in the peninsula on Monday are now suggesting that Mazzarri is Juve's new preferred choice.

Whether that indeed is the case remains to be seen, but Mazzarri's future at the San Paolo does seem to be in some doubt.

Despite turning the Azzurri into Scudetto contenders for a time, Mazzarri may consider a summer exit.

"At the end of the season I'll talk to the club and then decide whether to continue here," stated Mazzarri. "I've done that since I started coaching."

It's understood that Mazzarri wants to understand the club's ambitions, as well as try to secure a more lucrative financial package given that Napoli are set to qualify for the Champions League.

Should Mazzarri leave then the San Paolo outfit could turn to Palermo boss Delio Rossi or sacked Genoa Coach Gian Piero Gasperini.
