‘Masterful design, intentional or not’ – Dimarco earns top marks after Inter win over Frosinone

Federico Dimarco was the hero for Inter in their win over Frosinone, earning widespread praise after his incredible 61-yard goal.

The Nerazzurri cruised to a 2-0 win over the Giallazzurri on Sunday evening, taking a 1-0 lead in the 43rd minute after Dimarco’s wondergoal before doubling their advantage in the 48th minute after a Hakan Calhanoglu penalty.

The victory keeps Simone Inzaghi’s side top of the Serie A table after 12 games, maintaining their two-point lead over rivals Juventus ahead of the Derby d’Italia, which’ll kick off after the international break.

La Gazzetta dello Sport had high praise for Dimarco after his incredible goal, remaining unbothered regardless of intent, writing: “Intentional or not, a left footer that will end up in the history books, a masterful design. Then it will also be good to talk about the low ball to Barella.”

Corriere dello Sport echoed these sentiments, equally impressed by the Italian left back’s memorable striker, commenting: “He often forces a few passes instead of shooting. When he does decide to shoot, however, he slots it almost from midfield, securing another pearl of the season after the three-pointer in Empoli.”

The 26-year-old Italian left back has scored two goals and provided four assists in 11 Serie A appearances this season for the Nerazzurri.
