Olympique Marseille are prepared to sell talented midfielder and Milan target Boubacar Kamara in next month’s transfer window.
The 22-year-old Frenchman’s contract expires with the Ligue 1 side in June next year and he is not willing to sign a contract renewal, so president Pablo Longoria has decided that now is the right time to let the player, who can also be used as a centre back, leave the club.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, Milan have been following Kamara for some time now and they’re expected to make a move for the 22-year-old in the coming weeks, looking to beat out the competition for their man.
The French midfielder will be very useful in January when the Rossoneri are forced to give up Franck Kessie and Ismaël Bennacer for the Africa Cup of Nations, and Kamara’s tactical flexibility means that he can also be used as a short-term stop gap for the injured Simon Kjaer.
Milan will have to fight off competition from the Premier League, however, with Newcastle United and Manchester United both keen to secure the Frenchman’s signature.
