Marotta: ‘New business models in Serie A thanks to foreign owners’

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta hopes for ‘important coups’ in the last two days of the summer transfer window and says Serie A have developed new business models thanks to foreign owners.

Marotta is at Milan‘s Hotel Gallia where Italian clubs will hold negotiations in the last two days of the summer transfer window.

“I hope there will be important coups in the final hours of the transfer window, but right now we are at an inferior level compared to other top leagues,” he said as quoted by Calciomercato.com.

“Italian football is in huge financial contraction. The good thing is that foreign owners brought a different business model and a different mindset. They are very attentive to the economic and financial aspect.”
