Barcelona defender Marlon has arrived for his Sassuolo medical and reveals ex-Nice teammate Mario Balotelli “recommended them.”
The Brazilian flew in this evening in Milan and will be at the Mapei Stadium for his medical and signature tomorrow.
It’s a €6m deal with €6m in bonuses, but Barcelona retain both a buy-back option and a percentage of any future sale for the centre-back.
“I’m very happy,” Marlon told Sky Sport Italia.

“I spoke to Balotelli and he said great things about Sassuolo, he really recommended them.”
The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Nice with Italy international Balotelli.
Sassuolo won a bidding war with Schalke 04 and he seemed to be won over by their plans.
“I had many offers on the table, but Sassuolo wanted me more than anyone.”
