Manchester City join PSG pressuring Inter for Skriniar

Inter are facing more pressure to get Milan Skriniar under a new contract or risk losing him as a free agent, as Manchester City join PSG, Tottenham and Chelsea in chasing the defender.

His current deal only runs to June 2023 and the Nerazzurri rejected offers reported to be €55m plus bonuses from Paris Saint-Germain over the summer.

That was based on the confidence Skriniar would agree a new deal to remain at San Siro.

However, time is ticking on and the situation is changing, as the huge €9m per season salary proposed by PSG is not something Inter can compete with.

Skriniar’s agent is therefore well within his rights to demand more than the original planned wage deal for the extension.

According to Sun Sport, PSG are hardly the only side pushing Inter for Skriniar, as Manchester City have also joined the fray.

That is after ex-Inter boss Antonio Conte sought a reunion at Tottenham Hotspur, with Chelsea also interested in the Slovakia international.
