Man City, Tottenham, Atletico: European clubs queuing up for Serie A starlets

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, several Italian and Serie A starlets, including Davide Frattesi and Giorgio Scalvini, have attracted the interest of many European clubs, including Manchester City, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid.

Several players have left Serie A for the Premier League lately and more could follow in the coming months.

English clubs are keeping a close eye on Italian starlets and will continue to scout them before the January transfer window.

According to Gazzetta, Sassuolo‘s Frattesi has been eyed by Tottenham and Brighton, who have appointed his former boss Roberto De Zerbi as their new coach.

Man City and Atletico Madrid are monitoring Atalanta‘s Scalvini who scored his first Serie A goal in a 1-0 win over José Mourinho’s Roma on Sunday. Pep Guardiola is also a long-time admirer of Inter‘s centre-back Alessandro Bastoni and the same is true of Man United and Tottenham.

Nottingham Forrest will scout Cremonese’s Emanuele Valeri, 23, after signing Remo Freuler from Atalanta in the summer.

Udinese forward Beto is among the foreign Serie A stars who started the season on a high note. Scorer of four goals in seven Serie A games so far, the Portugal striker is said to have attracted the interest of Borussia Dortmund and Everton. The Bundesliga side are also monitoring Lecce’s Morten Hjulmand but could face competition from Eintracht Frankfurt.
