Man City losing Jorginho patience

Manchester City are losing patience with Napoli over Jorginho, but the Partenopei won’t let him go without a replacement and at least €50m.

The negotiations between the two clubs are no secret, nor is the €60m price-tag that President Aurelio De Laurentiis has slapped on to the player’s head.

ADL confirmed he had already rejected a proposal worth €40m plus €5m in bonuses, but might be prepared to accept €50m.

ADL confirmed he had already rejected a proposal worth €40m plus €5m in bonuses, but might be prepared to accept €50m.

According to Tuttosport, that isn’t the only issue, as Napoli want a replacement midfielder before they’ll release Jorginho.

The main targets are Sampdoria and Uruguay talent Lucas Torreira and new option Mario Lemina.

It would be a return to Italy for Lemina, who played for Juventus in 2015-17 before a €17m transfer to Southampton.

As for Torreira, he has a €25m release clause in his contract and reports of Borussia Dortmund entering talks are rapidly gathering steam, appearing in SportBild today.

Manchester City, meanwhile, are running out of patience and could begin to look elsewhere.
