Lotito: ‘1915 Scudetto is legitimate’

President Claudio Lotito backs assigning the 1915 Scudetto to Lazio: 'It's a legitimate title'.

The early tournament was interrupted ahead of the final between the Biancocelesti and Genoa because of the outbreak of World War I.

The Scudetto was later assigned to the Grifone, but it appears a new decision may give the title retrospectively to both teams.

The early tournament was interrupted ahead of the final between the Biancocelesti and Genoa because of the outbreak of World War I.

The Scudetto was later assigned to the Grifone, but it appears a new decision may give the title retrospectively to both teams.

This is of particular significance to Lazio as it would allow them to draw level with Roma, who have three titles so far – one more than their city rivals.

“It's a legitimate Scudetto,” weighed in Lotito, as reported by CalcioNews24. “It was taken away from us by the war.”
