Lobotka boost for troubled Napoli

There is some good news for Napoli ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Napoli, as Stanislav Lobotka is recovered and could start.

It kicks off on Friday at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona at 17.30 GMT.

The Partenopei are decimated going into this game, as Victor Osimhen and Matteo Politano are suspended following their red cards against Roma.

Natan and Mathias Olivera are injured, with Eljif Elmas already sold to RB Leipzig.

Coach Walter Mazzarri at least received a boost this afternoon with the return of Lobotka to training, as he had been forced off during the defeat to Roma with bruised ribs.

He went through the full training session with his teammates and could therefore start in that crucial midfield role.

Jesper Lindstrom and Alessio Zerbin are in competition for the left side of the attack, while either Giacomo Raspadori or Giovanni Simeone will start upfront, flanked by Kvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Osimhen and Politano were given one-match bans, so will be back for the January 7 trip to Torino.
