Liverpool and PSG offers for Chiesa still possible, but Juve prepare new contract – report

Juventus hope Federico Chiesa stays in Turin until the end of the season and will continue contract negotiations with the Italian after the end of the summer transfer window, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Chiesa scored on his 2023-24 Serie A debut against Udinese on Sunday, contributing to Juventus’ 3-0 win at the Dacia Arena.

His contract at the Allianz Stadium expires in June 2025, and the Bianconeri are willing to offer him a new contract. However, according to Gazzetta, Chiesa wants at least €7m per season, and there is still a gap between the club’s offer and the player’s request.

Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli said in July that both Chiesa and Vlahovic could leave for big money offer this summer as the Bianconeri must balance the books after confirming a record loss of circa €250m for 2021-22.

Clubs like Liverpool, PSG, Newcastle and Aston Villa have been linked with signing Chiesa over the summer, but Juventus have received no bids for the ex-Fiorentina star yet. According to the report, an offer for Chiesa is ‘still possible’ while the Serie A giants have set their asking price at €60-70m.

However, the Bianconeri hope interested clubs won’t make a late bid during the last nine days of the summer transfer window so they can continue contract negotiations with their star from September.
