Leao ‘living a golden moment’ whilst Giroud ‘disappoints’ and Kessie is ‘disassociated’

Rafael Leao was one of the few bright spots for Milan in their draw against Udinese, with both Olivier Giroud and Franck Kessie disappointing.

The 22-year-old Portuguese forward scored his 8th league goal of the season in yesterday’s match, putting his team ahead after only 29 minutes. The Italian press praised his work, noting that he’s “living in a golden moment”, being one of the few players to shine for the Rossoneri yesterday.

Giroud was less impressive in the draw, with the Italian media feeling it was “disappointing to say the least”. La Gazzetta dello Sport’s review of the Frenchman’s performance encapsulates the sentiment shared amongst the sports newspapers, with the Milanese paper highlighting that they “can’t be satisfied” with such a game.

Kessie was another player who failed to make the difference against Udinese yesterday, with the prevailing feeling being that “his dissociation from Milan seems evident”. The Ivorian midfielder “is no longer the player of a year ago”, being happy to let the game pass him by.
