Several Fenerbahce fans welcomed Juventus winger Filip Kostic to Istanbul on Sunday night. The Serbia international is ready to join the club on loan after calls from his compatriot Dusan Tadic and coach José Mourinho.

Kostic is ready to join Fenerbahce on a dry loan deal from Juventus, and hundreds of supporters greeted him at the Istanbul airport on Sunday night.

Kostic will undergo medical tests with the Turkish giants today, Monday, September 9, and will sign a contract until the end of the season.

Italian media, including Calciomercato.com, report that Fenerbahce will pay his entire salary in 2024-25, allowing Juventus to save over €3m gross.

According to Tuttosport, Kostic had calls with his compatriot Tadic and Fenerbahce coach Mourinho before accepting the offer from the Turkish club.

Kostic had been training separately from the first team at Juventus as he was not part of Thiago Motta’s plans.

The Serbia international’s contract at the Allianz Stadium runs out in June 2026.
