Juventus tempted by return of Inter CEO Marotta

Juventus are planning ahead for their management rebuild and are dreaming of the possible return of Beppe Marotta, reports detail.

The 65-year-old Italian spent eight years as the Bianconeri’s CEO from 2010 to 2018, helping Andrea Agnelli take the club to the peak of Italian football. After his departure to Inter four years ago, things started to go wrong in Turin and it soon became apparent just how important Marotta was to the Old Lady.

As reported by La Repubblica, Juventus are tempted to try and bring back Marotta to help oversee their post-Agnelli era. No contacts have been made yet and the 65-year-old is contracted to Inter until 2025.

Current indications suggest that Marotta would be open to returning to Turin, partly because of his strong working relationship with coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Marotta famously carried out a number of impressive deals during his eight-year spell with the Old Lady, bringing in players like Andrea Pirlo and Paul Pogba on free transfers.
