Juventus move forward for Marseille’s Milik – the latest

Juventus have chosen Arkadiusz Milik over Memphis Depay and are now pushing to agree personal terms with the Pole, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

The report details how the Bianconeri management met with Massimiliano Allegri today to discuss which player should be their primary target, and the decision was made to move ahead for Milik.

Juventus have already agreed the terms of a deal with Olympique Marseille, a €2m loan deal with an €8m buy option attached, and now they’re in talks with the Polish striker’s agent.

The 28-year-old Milik joined Marseille on a €4m loan deal with a €8m buy option attached from Napoli in January 2021. During his 18-months with the club, he’s scored 30 goals in 55 matches.

Juventus are hoping that the arrival of the Pole will inject a little more life into the club’s attack, clearly needed after a painfully dull 0-0 draw with Sampdoria yesterday.

The Bianconeri will be hoping to close out Milik’s arrival in the coming days, with the summer transfer window rapidly drawing to a close.
