Juventus confirm Ramsey positive for COVID-19

Aaron Ramsey’s nightmare Juventus spell continues with news he has tested positive for COVID-19 and is self-isolating.

The midfielder has not been in the squad yet in 2022 because he is, as coach Max Allegri explained, “on the way out” of the club.

While he seeks a transfer in the January window, he’ll have to do it remotely, because the Bianconeri announced he has tested positive for COVID-19.

It is another blow for the Bianconeri, who already had Giorgio Chiellini, Arthur and Carlo Pinsoglio as cases last week.

Those three have all now made a full recovery.

Wales international Ramsey has now tested positive for COVID-19 and has already been placed in self-isolation.

He was signed as a free agent when his Arsenal contract ran down in the summer of 2019.

Now 31, Ramsey has been linked with the likes of Newcastle United and Aston Villa, but is believed to be seeking a more prestigious club for his next move.

His contract with Juve runs to June 2023.
