Juric: ‘Belotti has not promised himself to anyone’

Torino coach Ivan Juric gave an update on Andrea Belotti’s future. ‘He has not promised himself to anyone, he has not decided anything yet.’

The centre-forward converted a penalty this evening in the 1-0 victory away to Salernitana, giving them a precious and rare away win.

Belotti’s contract is due to expire on June 30 and he has not entirely ruled out signing an extension, but is a free agent able to negotiate with other clubs too.

“Of course I would like him in my team next season,” Juric told Sky Sport Italia.

“I think he went through some strange years when he wasn’t training much, wasn’t scoring many goals, perhaps was not convinced by the way the team was playing. He also didn’t help his own situation, then this season had a lot of injuries.

“The lad is very fond of the club, the fans, and he said that when he makes a decision, he will tell me. He wants to end this season well and then evaluate every situation.
