Italiano: ‘Vlahovic will give everything for Fiorentina’

Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano said Dusan Vlahovic will continue to ‘give everything for’ the Viola. ‘To talk about the transfer market makes no sense’.

After Rocco Commisso confirmed the Serbian starlet won’t renew with the Viola, the speculation of an imminent move away from the Artemio Franchi have emerged.

Juventus and Inter are mentioned as possible suitors in Serie A, but face competition from other giants in the Premier League who are ready to pounce, according to the reports in Italian media.

Commisso: ‘Vlahovic will not renew with Fiorentina’

Italiano stressed Vlahovic has two years left on his deal with the Viola and expects the 21-year-old will continue to give his all for the club, hoping the rumours regarding his future will ‘not interfere’.

“Dusan is a serious professional, he still has two years left on his contract and will give everything for Fiorentina,” Italiano told Il Corriere dello Sport.

“I believe that when he has to go on the pitch and push hard, he will always do it. I hope the problems off the pitch will not interfere, and I’ll stop here.

“To talk about how to replace him in the first transfer market available, which arrives in three months, makes little sense. We have [Aleksandr] Kokorin and we have to try to get the most out of him.

“In that area, he and Vlahovic are our couple. Even if we might find other solutions in some games.”

Vlahovic has continued to impress at the start of 2021-22 and the Serbia international has scored 25 goals in his last 44 Serie A games, including four in the first seven this term.
