Inter news: Frattesi return date revealed

Multiple Italian sources claim Inter midfielder Davide Frattesi will likely miss the next two Serie A games returning to action against Atletico Madrid on February 20.

The Nerazzurri confirmed a muscle injury for Frattesi on Tuesday, saying that the Italian midfielder’s condition would be assessed daily.

La Gazzetta dello Sport, Tuttosport and Il Corriere dello Sport report the 24-year-old is expected to miss the next two Serie A games against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico and Salernitana at San Siro.

Wednesday’s printed edition of Gazzetta on page nine claims Inter doctors don’t want to take risks so Frattesi will probably be available again for Simone Inzaghi on February 20 when Inter host Atletico Madrid at the Stadio Meazza in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16.

Frattesi joined Inter on an initial loan deal with an option to buy from Sassuolo in the summer of 2023.

The Italy international has four goals and four assists in 27 appearances across all competitions this season.
