Inter had asked Dybala for a few more days – Gazzetta

Inter had asked Paulo Dybala to wait a few more days but in the meantime signed for Roma, according to reports in Italy.

The Argentina forward had been heavily linked with the Nerazzurri all summer before agreeing to jon Roma.

Though the move has not been made official as yet, Dybala was pictured with Giallorossi director Tiago Pinto and confirmed to reporters he will join the Europa Conference League winners.

But Gazzetta dello Sport report Inter were hopeful of signing Dybala right until the end.

The report suggests Inter director Beppe Marotta had asked the 28-yeard to give them a few days but, following a conversation with Roma boss José Mourinho, something clicked in the forward’s head and he asked his agent to break off negotiations with the Nerzzurri and focus on closing with the capital-city side.

Dybala had been rumoured to be taking the hallowed No. 10 at Roma which had been retired since Francesco Totti’s but he has confirmed that will not happen.
