Inter could make last minute move for Atalanta’s Muriel

After making some space in their squad, Inter could make a late move for Atalanta forward Luis Muriel this month.

The Nerazzurri agreed to send Lucien Agoume to Sevilla on loan this week and are open to letting Stefano Sensi leave to the interested Leicester City. Completing both deals would lighten the club’s wage bill for the second half of this season.

Inter have already brought in one player this month, signing Tajon Buchanan from Club Brugge in a deal worth around €7m, and they are looking around for other low-cost reinforcements as they fight with Juventus for the league title.

As reported by Sport Mediaset, Inter could look to bring in Muriel from Atalanta later in the January transfer window, should they manage to send Sensi to Leicester.

The 32-year-old Colombian forward’s contract expires in Bergamo in the summer and isn’t seemingly close to penning a new deal, making him an interesting opportunity in the winter window.

Marko Arnautovic has failed to provide a consistent source of goals, causing some concern amongst supporters in recent weeks.
