This is also a special game because coach Inzaghi returns to the touchline, several weeks after his entire family unit contracted COVID-19, seeing his wife hospitalised.

“The coach is more fired up than ever. His family had a tough time, but we stayed by their side,” Immobile told Lazio Style Channel.

“Technology allowed us to continue working with him, although having him there at the training ground and in the stadium is obviously different. His staff did a wonderful job in his absence.”

Lazio lost 5-2 to Napoli midweek, so this is a crucial result to stay in the fight for a top four finish.

“This match represents our last chance and we know that we cannot get it wrong,” added Immobile.

“It must give us extra motivation, along with making up for the five goals we conceded against Napoli. I am feeling much better now, it looks as if the tendon issues have been resolved and I really want to score goals to help the team.”
