Ibrahimovic will have his say on Pioli’s Milan future – report

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will reportedly have his say on Stefano Pioli’s future as Milan‘s coach.

Pioli has reportedly been given one last chance to save his job, but if Milan lose against Sassuolo in the next Serie A game, the Rossoneri will likely sack him.

According to Milannews, RedBird and Milan’s new senior advisor Ibrahimovic will have a role in determining Pioli’s future at the club.

Ibra had been appointed two weeks ago and was in the stands at the Stadio Arechi on Friday, attending his first match as a club director.

Milannews claims Ibra spent the whole day with Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani on Friday and that the ex-striker will have his say on Pioli’s potential sacking.

Milan sit third in the Serie A table, eight points below leaders Inter who, however, have a game in hand.

Most worryingly, a top-four finish is under threat as fifth-placed Fiorentina are just three points below the Rossoneri who have already been eliminated from the Champions League group stage.

Ibrahimovic played under Pioli from January 2020 until June 2023, scoring 37 goals in 78 appearances under the Parma-born coach.
