Giuntoli set to meet Pogba’s agent to rediscuss Juventus contract

Multiple reports in Italy claim Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli will soon meet Paul Pogba’s agent Rafaela Pimenta, to rediscuss the Frenchman’s contract in Turin.

Pogba’s physical issues continue as the ex-Manchester United star suffered a minor muscle injury during Juventus’ 2-0 win over Empoli on Sunday.

His €8m-a-year contract expires in June 2025, but according to Tuttosport and Calciomercato.com, club director Giuntoli wants to rediscuss the terms of the agreement.

Therefore, he has already planned a meeting with Pogba’s agent Rafaela Pimenta in September. According to Calciomercato.com, the two parties will meet this week.

The Italian outlet claims Juventus will ask Pogba to cut his salary but will likely offer him a longer deal. The alternative is to reduce the fixed part of his wages and reach €8m per season through performance-related bonuses.

Pogba has only made seven appearances since his return to Turin a year ago, starting just one game.

His latest injury is a slight overload of the semimembranosus muscle of the right thigh. His condition will be monitored daily ahead of next week’s Serie A clash against Lazio in Turin.
