Juventus medical staff confirm that Paul Pogba has not sustained any serious muscular injuries, but Federico Gatti sprained his ankle.

The Bianconeri got back on track with last night’s 2-0 victory away to Empoli at the Stadio Castellani, with goals from Danilo and Federico Chiesa.

There were concerns in the final minutes when Pogba was seen clutching the back of his thigh and speaking intently with the medics after the match.

Coach Max Allegri confirmed that the France international ‘felt a twinge’ and would require tests.

Fortunately for Juve, the results came back today and Pogba has not sustained any lesions, there is just a slight overload of the semimembranosus muscle of the right thigh.

However, there is worse news for Italy international defender Gatti, who has sprained his left ankle.

Gatti was not part of new coach Luciano Spalletti’s squad for the upcoming EURO 2024 qualifiers against North Macedonia and Ukraine.
