Ghirardi: Biabiany will likely leave

Tommaso Ghirardi believes Jonathan Biabiany will likely accept Guangzhou Evergrande’s offer, which he has called ‘staggering’.

The Chinese outfit were unsuccessful in their attempts last week to pick up Alessandro Diamanti, but were then quickly linked with a bid for Parma’s winger instead.

Following on from the player’s agent, the Ducali’s President has today also confirmed the offer and his belief that Biabiany will accept it.

“He is coming to the end of his contract and the offer for him to have come in from China is staggering,” Ghirardi has told Radio Anch’Io Sport today.

“He is deciding at this time, but if the offer is confirmed then I think that he will go.”

Speculation continue to surround the future of Marco Parolo and Gabriel Paletta into the final week of the transfer window, but Ghirardi sees both as likely to be involved come next weekend’s trip out to Roma, after the market’s close.

“We are going to go to the Olimpico [in Week 22] to have fun and to do so the squad will be complete. I think that Parolo and Paletta will be there.

“We are doing well, we are in a notable position in the table. However, we are calm and eager to continue this path. That is why we are happy and satisfied. Our dream is to compete for these positions.

“My first target is 40 points, but then there is the dream of returning to Europe, as happened during the 1990s. I see so many similarities with that side.

“Roma next weekend? We are calm now, we are going to go there to play our game. It may be that we concede three goals, but playing the game we could also create three.

“Donadoni’s future? He has a year on his contract with us and he is a person who respects his commitments.

“When the big clubs arrive, however, I also understand the desire to work with the elites of football.

“Still, I hope that he stays with us for at least one more year and I would certainly not be the first to propose that he leaves.”
