Genoa set Gudmundsson price tag as Fiorentina consider second bid – report

Genoa have put a hefty price tag on star striker Albert Gudmundsson, who had been subject of a rejected bid from Fiorentina earlier in the week according to recent reports.

As per Calciomercato.com, Fiorentina had made an initial enquiry to Genoa on Monday with an initial offer of €20m, which was subsequently rejected.

Genoa will not consider offers below the €25m and will only negotiate seriously for offers above the €30m mark according to Wednesday’s reports.

Genoa have already sold Radu Dragusin to Premier League side Tottenham this January for a total fee of €31m made up of an immediate €25m transfer fee and up to €6m in bonuses. For that reason, Alberto Gilardino’s side are in no urgency to move any of their first team regulars on.

Fiorentina may come back in with a second offer for Gudmundsson according to Calciomercato, possibly involving one of their own players moving in the other direction.

However, Genoa are not interested in Viola outcast M’bala Nzola, as Vitinha has been brought in from Marseille and Mateo Retegui is also still a valuable member of the squad.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina are also still hoping to close a loan deal for Roma’s Andrea Belotti before the close of the January transfer window.
