Gazzetta: Milan reach agreement with Villarreal for Chukwueze

La Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that Milan have reached a final agreement with Villarreal over the price for Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze, who could now officially join the Rossoneri in the coming days.

According to Gazzetta’s report, Milan have agreed to pay a total package of €28m for Chukwueze, made up of €20m up front and €8m in bonuses.

The 24-year-old will reportedly sign a four-year contract at San Siro, valid until teh end of the 2026-27 season, having already agreed upon personal terms as per Calciomercato.com.

At present, Chukwueze has just one year remaining on his contract with Villarreal, hence why they are willing to cash in on him this summer rather than letting him leave for free in 12 months time.

Gazzetta also claim that Chukwueze’s move will now be pushed through as quickly as possible with an official announcement expected over the weekend, or by Monday at the latest.

Milan are hopeful that Chukwueze will then be able to join Stefano Pioli and the rest of the Rossoneri squad in the United States to take part in the team’s pre-season tour.

So far this summer, Milan have already brought in Marco Sportiello, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Luka Romero, Christian Pulisic and Tijjani Reijnders, as well as having Noah Okafor on the ground ready for a medical, meaning that Chukwueze would likely be the team’s seventh signing of the summer.
