Fiorentina set for more talks with Belotti ahead of Roma loan – report

Fiorentina are set to hold talks with the representatives of Roma striker Andrea Belotti on Wednesday morning, with the 30-year-old set to join La Viola on loan until the end of the 2023-24 season.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Fiorentina’s next meeting with Belotti’s agents will be to define the agreement on personal terms, including the player’s salary.

The feeling is overwhelmingly positive that Fiorentina will reach an agreement on personal terms well before the January transfer window slams shut for Serie A clubs. Belotti himself has already agreed to join Vincenzo Italiano’s side.

Belotti has made 14 Serie A appearances for Roma so far this term, largely serving as an understudy to regular starter Romelu Lukaku. He has chipped in with three goals and two assists in the league so far.

Fiorentina, who have Lucas Beltran and Mbala Nzola among their squad of strikers, but are without a reliable, proven Serie A goalscorer, are after another centre-forward to help with their ambitions of qualifying for the 2024-25 edition of the Champions League.

Italiano’s men are currently sixth in the Serie A standings after 21 matches, but sit just two points off Atalanta in fourth place.
