Fiorentina for sale: Saudi consortium reportedly ready to purchase club

Fiorentina are up for sale and Saudi Arabian consortium are ready to pay €350 million to purchase the club, reports in Italy suggest.

U.S. businessman Rocco B. Commisso bought the club from the Delle Valle brothers in 2019 but has made his frustration with Italian football clear in recent weeks.

Calciomercato.com report that not only is the club up for sale but a buyer has been lined up with a Saudi Arabian consortium has been lined up to buy La Viola for €350m.

Commisso was criticised by a section of Fiorentina fans earlier this year following allowing star striker Dusan Vlahovic to join arch-rivals Juventus.

And while the American defended his role and was critical of the Serbia international and his entourage for their part in the transfer, he said earlier this year he would reflect on the future of the club.

Fiorentina’s prospective new owners would be purchasing a club potentially set up for a bright future as they returned to European football for the first time in five years.

Meanwhile, the Viola Park training centre Commisso has had built should be finished by the end of the year, the report adds, and is likely to be one of the most advance complexes in Serie A.
