Figures behind Wijnaldum move from PSG to Roma – report

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is reportedly only a step away from completing a loan move to Roma.

The Giallorossi have been hard at work this summer strengthening the squad available to Jose Mourinho as they look to fight for a spot in the top four, picking up star man Paulo Dybala on a free transfer. Other important additions, like Nemanja Matic and Mile Svilar, have also joined the ranks.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, PSG and Roma are now working hard to complete the Wijnaldum as soon as possible, and things could even be finalised this evening.

The Giallorossi have agreed to pay €5m of Wijnaldum’s €7.2m salary, and the player has waived around €1m gross in add-ons in order to help facilitate the move. It will be a loan deal with a buy option attached.

Roma are hoping that Wijnaldum will arrive tomorrow as they want to integrate him into the squad in time for the start of the Serie A season. Their season opener is against Salernitana on August 14.
